Mentoring Program

This program seeks to increase the number of federal employees qualified to meet the core qualifications to fill upper level positions including, but not limited to, SES positions. Current NAHFE members, GS-12 to GS15, are eligible to apply. Mentors are former or current members of the Senior Executive Services, and highly-qualified GS-14/15s.

NAHFE strives to make continuous improvements to the mentoring program based on participants feedback, best practices, and lessons learned.

It is being implemented again in 2024.

For more information please, contact: president@nahfe.org

Flash Mentoring Events

The NAHFE Flash Mentoring Events are virtual, approximately two hour sessions. The participants have the opportunity to engage with Senior Executive and/or highly qualified GS-15s.

All attendees are rotated through all participating Senior Executives that come from across many federal agencies nationwide. These individuals share practical advice, guidance, and encouragement with an emphasis on career development, management, and leadership.

Participants are rotated approximately every fifteen minutes through all the Senior Executives. This gives participants the opportunity to interface with Senior Executives from many nationwide federal agencies.

This program aims to expand NAHFE professional development initiatives across the nation while providing much needed flexibility to those in the DC metro area.
